How we research & review
SphynxPaw is an independent editorial encyclopedia dedicated to Sphynx cats. We exist to give owners and prospective owners clear, trustworthy, jargon-free answers about caring for one of the world's most distinctive cat breeds.
Who is behind SphynxPaw?
SphynxPaw is produced by a small editorial team rather than a single personality. We write as a brand, and we hold our content — not an individual byline — to account. Our editorial team combines experienced pet-care writers with input from people who live with and care for hairless cats day to day.
How we research our guides
Every guide starts from the real questions owners ask. We map the topics people search for, then research each one against established veterinary and feline-care knowledge, breed-club guidance and well-documented husbandry practice. We write original explanations in plain English — we never copy text from other sources.
Our editorial standards
- We prioritise accuracy and usefulness over speed.
- We avoid inventing statistics, prices or study results; where the evidence is uncertain, we say so and stay general.
- We keep a clear line between general information and individual medical advice (see below).
- We update guides as understanding and best practice evolve.
Veterinary review & health content
Health-related guides on SphynxPaw are informational and educational. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Sphynx cats have some breed-specific health considerations, and every cat is an individual — if you have any concern about your cat's health, please consult a qualified veterinarian who can examine your animal. We flag health pages with a clear disclaimer and defer to your vet for diagnosis and treatment.
Corrections
We want to get things right. If you spot something that looks inaccurate or out of date, we welcome corrections so we can review and improve the guide.
